A Post

Ok, so my plan for weekly posting seems to have failed miserably. I blame you. But I'm posting now, so I'll talk about stuff. There have been a couple things on my mind today. First of all, I am very, very happy that this quarter is going to be ending in a couple weeks. It's been a lot of fun at times, but mostly it's just been a lot of work and I'm getting too lazy for my own good. However, there still is a lot more work standing between me and going home for winter break. Namely, four tests and a term paper. Tomorrow I have a physics "midterm" (how you can have a midterm in the TENTH week of the quarter remains one of life's greatest unanswered questions). As I'm sure you all know, physics midterms rank as one of my favorite things ever, along with leaping off of 100-foot cliffs onto sharp rocks and beating my brains out with a marble. Actually, it probably will be fairly straight-forward, so I should try not to complain too much.

Also, it seems that my cat, Hannah, is not doing so well. She's 17 and a half now, and apparently her kidneys are starting to fail. They say she's only going to live for another month or two, so hopefully I'll get to see her when I go home for Christmas break.

Um, I think in my last post I hinted that I was going to do something cool. That ended up not happening. So nevermind.

I guess I should talk about Thanksgiving break, because that just happened. Um...I went home. I did homework. I ate food with my family. I saw people from high school. Actually, it was a nice break, mainly since it was relatively calm and quiet compared to life at school. I hope everyone else had good breaks. Yes, traditionally one says something like that before the break starts, but better late than never, right?

Anyway, I need to stop talking. Why? Because I said so.

Still Busy

Yeah, this week I have less time than I do brain power, which is really saying something. I just got back from Arizona last weekend, which was an awesome trip, by the way. It was UW's first PAC-10 win in the last two seasons, so it was really exciting for the band to watch. Also, Tuscon seems like a nice place (at least, it does now when it's not ridiculously hot)....who knows where I'll end up for grad school. They have more astronomy-related buildings on the U of Arizona campus than we have, certainly.

This week I'm mostly scrambling to get my homework done. In addition to the Arizona trip last weekend, I'm doing FIVE sports pep bands this week, as well as the Apple Cup on Saturday. Oh yeah, and I'm supposed to be working on my research project too. Only three more weeks of class after this one...Hopefully I'll make it. To top everything off with something extra special, I have a midterm on Monday, which I should probably try to do well on. So yeah, I don't really get a weekend I guess. Oh well.

One more thing, tomorrow I am going to do something really cool, so hopefully I'll say more about that sometime.

Busy...

My life just gets busier and busier...Anyway, after barely surviving my midterm on Wednesday, I'll be leaving town for the weekend. I'm going to Arizona with the football team, where hopefully we'll practice how to beat up on cats before the Apple Cup. Beyond that, I've mostly been doing the same old stuff. Today I actually worked on my research project for a while, which was good. I still have some more work to do...you'd think image reduction would be easier. Anyway, I need to try to get some homework done now, but I'll try to find time when I get back to post more stuff.

Cold....

Today was the football game versus Oregon State. Unfortunately, it rained the entire game and I'm so cold right now I can barely type. So yeah, lots of fun...Anyway, I'll say more stuff sometime when it's easier to do so.

Sanity Check

Well, no more midterms until....um...next Wednesday. Crap. Oh well. Anyway, I do have a small break from studying for tests, but I'm still keeping busy. Today I had a volleyball pep band performance. Yes, I know that sounds incredibly stupid, but actually it's a lot of fun, and our volleyball team is #2 in the country. Tonight we beat #4 Stanford fairly easily, so hopefully they'll go far in the playoffs. Anyway, I still have some homework I need to finish before tomorrow morning, so I had better go work on it. This weekend there's a football game, and I have more physics homework. Plus, I get to start studying for my midterm. Remind me not to take classes next quarter. And remind me soon, because I register on Monday. I think a quarter with just a band class sounds good. But I think they'd kick me out of my apartment because I wouldn't be a full time student.

Midterm Madness

Another day, another midterm. Well, something like that. I have a midterm tomorrow in my cosmology class, which I have been studying for today. It seems like I just got done with my midterms last week, but I guess it's been a few days. Other than that, not much is going on. I have to go to an astronomy major meeting this afternoon, and then I have marching band, so hopefully I'm getting close to done with my studying.

One of these weeks I need to get around to arranging another song for my mellophone section to play. I don't really have time though, and I'm not sure what song I should try next. I guess if I don't get around to writing out a new song I can print off some Christmas quartets I arranged in high school. Maybe I'll do that anyway, we'll see. If I get really bold, I could actually write a song for us to play. But it would probably suck.

Um, anyway, I can't think of much else to talk about right now. Just remember to remind me to graduate soon so I can stop doing homework and taking tests. It's really getting old. Anyway, I also say "anyway" too much. So I will stop talking.
